📍Salt Spring Island | Food Guide 🐟🍎🦪🐮🐑🍞

Just returned from a 3-day mini trip to Salt Spring Island—ate so much delicious food! 🍽️✨ Turns out there really are spots even better than Vancouver’s 😉. 🍴 Buzzy's Luncheonette| Montreal Smoked Meat 🥪 The meat was tender and full of flavor—way better than any similar place in Vancouver! Sandwiches are mostly similar, categorized by meat portion. The owner recommended Cherry Soda 🍒🥤, but it tasted very artificial. Skip it if you don’t like cherry syrup. 🍴 Kitchen Kodama | Okonomiyaki 🍳 100% authentic—tastes just like the stalls in Japan! 🇯🇵 🍴 Salt Spring Wild Cider House | 🍎 You can’t visit without trying their cider! They serve both drinks and meals 🥘. Great atmosphere. If you want to sit in the brighter outdoor section during mealtime, book ahead! 🍴 Seaside Restaurant | 🌊 A seaside spot right by Vesuvius Dock. Tried the fish and chips 🐟🍟 and chowder. The halibut was crispy outside and tender inside—fries were even better than they looked! Chowder was just okay. The outdoor view was gorgeous 🏞️. 🍴 Vital Kitchen | 🥬 A vegan food truck at the farmer’s market. Run by a Japanese couple, they serve Japanese-style Indian curry and samosas—tasty and unique! 🍴 Francis Bread | 🥖🍞 Open kitchen with great design vibes. Besides the breakfast sandwich and rhubarb danish pictured, I also had the cardamom knot, croissant, and baguette sandwich—all absolutely delicious! The cardamom knot was the best I’ve had in Canada—felt like being back in Denmark! 🇩🇰 The rhubarb danish was perfectly balanced between sweet and tart—a real surprise. If this place were in Vancouver, there’d be lines every day! 🥐💖 🍴 Woodshed Provisions | 🍰 I only tried the olive oil cake—too oily and sweet for me, so no photo 😅. But online reviews are great—maybe other items are better! 🍴 South End Sausage | 🌭 Specializes in various sausages, cold cuts, and snacks. A great option if you’re cooking or BBQing on the island! 🔥 🍴 Farm Stands | 🥚🌽 Driving around the island, you’ll pass many farm stands selling everything from fresh eggs to veggies and even firewood 🪵. What you find is totally luck-based—and bring small cash! 💵 #RestaurantRecommendations #GlobalFoodSquad #CulinaryAdventure #SaltSpringIsland #IslandTravel #FoodieFinds
