Candy Shoppe — Local services in Severn

Excellent selection of new and old candies, and excellent staff that remember queries and are open to questions about products. Prices are a bit higher on certain items you can find elsewhere, but I guarantee they have a ton of stuff you will not find elsewhere and that more than makes up for it. You do not see many specialty candy shops around anymore, and I highly recommend stopping by on your way down highway 11 at least once. They almost always have something new to try when I come in, and I can't help but spend at least $20 every time I walk in! I have been a customer at this store for years and will continue to be. (Until I move I suppose)

If you're looking for interesting candy on a budget by the way, this location offers $5 mystery grab bags with candy that is near the end of its shelf life. The candy inside these is usually quite good and varied, but some kinds of gummies and liquorice don't do as well for obvious reasons.

We had a great experience at the Candy Shoppe!! I always drove by this place while I was driving on the highway and always wanted to go inside and take a look. While I was moving away, I thought I would check it out since it might be my last chance to go and as soon as we came inside, we were greeted with amazing service and a friendly, happy atmosphere! We saw all kinds of candy that I haven't seen since my childhood and I was so happy to be able to try it all again. There were also other candies that I never heard of before and it was soo good and worth the try! Sadly, we couldn't buy any of the merchandise due to covid restrictions but I can guarantee that I will be coming back for those and to grab other candy that we didn't get a chance to try yet. I will most likely be taking a long trip just to come to this Candy Shoppe! If you are in the area or ever come across this on highway 11, you need to check this place out, I promise it will...

Since the new owners have taken over, it has definitely gone downhill... I used to come here quite often and was always super excited to go. Today was the first time I popped in since the owner change and I was honestly disappointed. They hardly have a variety of things like they use too. Candy is now super over priced and very low in stock. (Which I get the low stock thing, it's a busy spot throughout the summer.) But where did all the collectibles go?? They only have a small selection of collectibles now and it wasn't even that great. I have always come here for Christmas, birthday and personal shopping but now I don't think I'll return. I ended up walking out without anything which is the first time I've done that here! Waste of a trip. Sad really. I hope things go up from here and they bring back the variety they use to have. Maybe I would consider going back if that...
