To anybody that wants to try this place I highly suggest you donāt. This is the third time Iāve been there the first time the food was great. The last two times the food was no good. My rice was dry like it was dehydrated. My chicken was dry like itās been sitting out on the counter all day.
I called to speak to a manager or the owner and the gentleman on the phone told me that he was the boss and I told him that I threw my food away and he said well that sucks that your problem..
Tell him thatās not how you talk to customer as bad business and that you shouldnāt be talking to people like that.
All the man had to say was āSir, Iām sorry your food didnāt taste great and to your expectations as we strive to serve Quality food at our location for the inconvenience we will replace your food as we want to keep our customers happy and returningā
Things like that is very easy. I suggest everybody that wants to try a taste of Caribbean to go to the place in Orangeville called Topville. Customer service is outstanding and the lady that runs the Is a very kind and understanding and nice. This place here in Shelburne called the jerk. Well I think itās a bunch of jerks that work in there especially the guy that I talk to on the phone and I hope the owner sees this post and disciplines you.
The worst part is I tipped the guy pretty good and he still couldnāt get my order anyways go to Orangeville if you want nice Caribbean food notch, and very...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI've pitchased 3 meals from this establishment so far. I'm sorry to say I've not enjoyed any of them. My first meal was curry goat & rice and peas on opening day. The goat was bland & it seems as if it was burnt. I also purchased jerk chicken & and oxtail meals last week. I was once again disappointed in the meals. Both the oxtail & the oxtail was lacking flavor. The chicken did not have a true jerk flavor. The rice & peas was also bland. The only thing I really enjoyed was the coleslaw. I'm hoping that the chef will look at this review & do some taste test with various recipes. I'd love to see this establishment succeed in Shelburne. Some adjustments needs to be made to the food that's coming out of the kitchen before I return. I'll try them again in...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVisiting family in town and looking for interesting cuisine/foods not available in my home city, I was very excited coming across a Jamaican restaurant. Decided to try it the same evening. We ordered four dishes, two of which were BBQ chicken, one jerk chicken, and one goat curry. Each came with rice and side and we mixed it up by getting plain or rice with beans, also with coleslaw or mac salad. All of them were great. From the carbs, the sides, and the meat. All yummy!! The guy at the counter was nice too. The only downside/warning I could say is that there's no formal dine-in seating. There were bar stools/chairs and table facing the parking but that's more for a quick bite. Other than that, this place is highly recommended. You should go...
