Galiano Island — Local services in Southern Gulf Islands Electoral Area

I just had my wedding here last week and it was absolutely the best experience... I could not have imagined getting married anywhere else. They were so lovely, accommodating, and easy to deal with and I feel like we had an incredibly luxurious wedding for a comparable price as a golf course wedding - but with a much more unique experience. All our guests raved that they had the best weekend and that this was one of the best weddings they have ever attended. It's a bit frustrating dealing with the ferry for sure, but the experience of Galiano was more than worth it. The food was incredible, as was the atmosphere and the staff - I could go on and on. I will never forget my wedding there and I look forward to visiting regularly...

The island is nice, like many other islands in the same region, but they exaggerate a bit about what they offer. We went on a Thursday, during peak season and some restaurants were closed. In the brochures they claim too have lots of galleries or artist studios, but most of them are just clothing shops with 5 or 6 paintings. These artist studios are frequently closed because the owner left or is busy and they are too far apart from each other to visit them walking. I think it will be easier just to have one gallery that features all the local artists. They also claim to have nice beaches, but they are just muddy seashores. There is a great coffee roaster where you can buy the freshest...

Good day all, I booked a package through the BC Ferry and stayed at the resort overnight. I really enjoyed the grounds. However, the hot tub (jets) was not working, I was unable to burn logs because the firewood was wet I was not able to fine anybody after 5:00 pm . I booked Prime Rib Sundays dinner for two. The dinner was very delicious but the meat that I ate was not a Prime Rib and it was not fish of the day like you advertised! I understand that I took a trip to Galliano Island and paid for my trip prime price. However, the services that I received was not prime. Galiano Island one of the most gorgeous places in BC but everything is closed at 5:00 pm. or before...
