🇨🇦 Long Weekend Escape: Galiano Island Adventure 🏝️

Having explored most islands near Vancouver, Galiano was the last on my bucket list! Seized the Canada Day weekend for a spontaneous trip with my partner. ​​🚢 Ferry Tips​​: • Departs from Tsawwassen (55min sailing time – shorter than major islands!) • Limited schedules – ​​book online early​​! ​​🌲 Must-Visit Spots​​: 1️⃣ ​​Mount Galiano Hike​​ ⚠️ CRUCIAL: At the trailhead sign, ​​GO RIGHT​​! We learned the hard way after wandering left to a hunting area/private property... 😅 2️⃣ ​​Retreat Cove​​ 📍 Navigate to Galiano Sailing Charters → wooden boardwalk → left path to beach • Missed the insta-famous sea cave (bikini-clad sunbathers!) • 🐍 Saw a snake slithering on rocks – watch your step! 3️⃣ ​​Bellhouse Provincial Park​​ Unexpected gem! Spent our last hours ​​beach lounging with ocean views​​ 🌊 ​​🍕 Food Recs​​: • ​​Babies in the Woods Pizza​​: Whole wheat crust with amazing grain flavor! • ☕ ​​Dockfront Bakery​​: Stick to classic coffee orders (their "creative" flavors... let's just say we won't repeat 😬) #IslandHopping #WestCoastWeekend #HiddenBC #ExploreGaliano #VancouverGetaway
