We have only hiked to the falls once. It’s a pretty good hike. Wear shoes - not flip flops. It’s probably a longer hike than you think, so go prepared!
We usually boat to the falls. There is a very strong current the closer you get. There are a couple of stakes in the rock that you can tie up your boat to in the south shore line.
Definitely a must see place on the French River. The falls are actually located near Alban, not Killarney. If you’re heading there from the docks at the French River Supply Post, you’ll hang a tight and follow the channel under the snowmobile bridge. The river bends and the falls are to the left.
