Booked a spa service online, the spa changed the time of the booking and we did not notice the time change in the generic email confirmation. When we arrived at the spa were told we were late and that we would be charged in full for the service we wouldn’t be able to fully enjoy. At no point did the spa attempt to call us or notify us that we were late for the service. So not only did they change our booking time, they didn’t even attempt to reach us to inquiry where we were.
From a customer service aspect the staff didn’t seem to care or have any compassion our situation. Or acknowledge us for our continued patronage, as this was the 5th booking we had over 2 days. The staff simply reiterated that they reserve the right to change the times of the bookings and it’s our fault for not noticing.
Instead of trying to put us at ease they just caused unneeded stress which is the opposite objective of a spa experience. We were put in a position where the longer we stood there discussing who’s was at fault the less remaining time we would have had with our booking. Fault aside we just wanted an enjoyable and peaceful experience, instead the spas reiterated their “policy” rather than emphasize customer service...
Read moreI went in August 2024 and had the best pedicure of my life. So when I went back last week, I decided to treat myself again even though it’s very expensive.
It was easily the worst pedicure I’d ever had. The $30 special at the strip mall nail salon is significantly better.
In a 60 min service, the esthetician spent 15 minutes applying the regular polish to my toes. And I have tiny toenails so this is something that takes me about 5 total if I’m going slowly and carefully.
I received no foot or leg massage. I had a single pump of lotion applied to each leg and that was it. She scraped my soles/heels but they felt no different after the service was complete. You can’t even tell I got a pedicure.
To top it all off, this service is $119+tax. They hand you a piece of paper at the end for a gratuity with the only pre-chosen options being 18%, 20% or 22%. Anything else you need to do the math on. Oh, and you hand this back to the esthetician when you’ve signed off on it so she sees immediately. This is all while you’re in a private room with the door closed alone together.
Last year I was signing the praises of this place (and sparkling hill in general); now...
Read moreI thoroughly enjoyed my experience at the Kur Spa. The sauna’s and steam rooms were amazing my only wish is that they were open earlier in the day. I had a customized facial done by Marie and it was amazing. Marie was very professional and knowledgeable and gave me great suggestions to improve my skin care routine. It’s almost been a week since my service and I feel so good and happy with my facial that I’ve hardly been wearing make up like I typically do. I will definitely book another facial during my next visit to Sparkling Hill. I also had a massage by Sam during my stay and it was unreal. He was very professional and experienced, I left feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. I had such a great time at the spa during my girls trip that we have already booked another...
