West Lincoln Community Centre — Local services in West Lincoln Township

This is a spectacular new arena and you can still hear some taxpayers talking about the cost over runs that came with it.

This was a much needed facility for the community and I have enjoyed the skating facility and the library with my young son. I am hoping they reopen the offices in the library so some of us small business owners can continue to use them.

Where I really take exception is the fact that they have banned running on their track. This is a major problem and I am hoping that when the pandemic ends that they will allow runners to use this facility.

They banned running when a Karen complained because I was using the 'walking track' to run, albeit wearing my mask for the whole 10 km around people in the stands and on the ice who weren't all wearing...

Love that it has a walking track above the arena so you can get some excersise in while your kids are skating or playing hockey. Also love that they allow strollers on the ice - makes skating with littles much more enjoyable.

I wish the library was open more during the daytime. Its mainly only open "after school" hours. Which is a little silly, because many schools have their own libraries, and many people who use the library (families with preschoolers, homeschoolers, elderly, etc) would use it during school hours and dont want to go out at 3 pm when it...

as a skater with no real way of transport, the skate park is a MAJOR disappointment. its literally just a bowl with a rail, and a manual pad. please add more street terrain, i am a street skater i don't like bowls. also parents please don't let your little 5 year old kids run around in the bowl, its very dangerous and they could get hit by someone using the bowl for its intended purpose. just have your kids play at the park, NOT the skate park. overall i really don't recommend the skatepark here, major lack of variety in obstacles, and it just...
