The Spearhead — Local services in Whistler Resort Municipality

Hiked to Spearhead summit from top of Blackcomb gondola via Blackcomb lake. Despite moderate stats - a return distance of 10.5 km, and 710 m elevation gain, this is a challenging hike, as there is no trail beyond Blackcomb Lake, and you have to climb up a steep boulder field aka Body Bag Bowl with a lot of loose rocks, and scramble the rugged Spearhead ridge and the Spearhead summit is another steep boulder field to climb. I took the peak 2 peak chair from the bike park over then walked the rest. All i can say is that the view is beautiful. I went with a couple buddies and we dropped dong(let in hang) and cracked a cold one for the boys that couldn't make it. We also dropped dong on the blackcomb summit and Whistler summit. Needless to say the hole experience was very amazing and i can guarantee that i will never forget this moment. If you have a chance, go the the peak with your closest friends and drop dong on top...
