Increíble volcán limítrofe entre las regiones del bio bio y Araucania. El acceso más clásico es por el sur en el sector de la laguna Blanca y reserva Malalcahuello. Muy lindo lugar y volcán con una forma única. Se puede caminar a los pies de este por hermosos bosque de araucaria y árboles nativos o intentar subir a su cumbre con un guía...

El volcán Tolhuaca es un estratovolcán situado en la parte norte de la IX Región de la Araucanía de Chile el volcán tomo forma con la erosión glacial que contrasta con las laderas relativamente suaves de su vecino Lonquimay debido a la edad más joven de este último volcán
