Reserva Nacional Los Flamencos — Local services in San Pedro de Atacama

The map is misleading. There isn't really a destination in this park... It's pretty much just a few photograph spots along the highway. There is supposedly a road towards some lagoons, but when I visited, it was completely inaccessible with the car I was driving. Lots of good off-roading if you bring a capable truck though.

That said, it's still a really beautiful place to drive through. You hit about 15,500 ft of elevation as you ascend the volcanic Highlands.

So underrated. Probably because there are no tickets to buy, you can hop in your car and drive there.
