Our Torres del Paine tour culminates our 3-day Patagonian trekking. It’s a nice way to end the trip as well as visit Chile as well. The massif tower mountains are not only incredible to see but it’s such a zen experience to do a leisurely hike alongside them and Lake Pehoé and Lake Nordenskjöld. Adding to the zen are the beautiful wild bushes all along the path. Seeing these plants you’ll conclude like me that no landscape designer could do better than Mother Nature. Do pick and taste the super sour wild blue Calafate berries along the way also to kinda appreciate this place not only through your sight, smell, sound and touch sensors, but via taste too. Some notes: do not lose the receipt given by the Chilean border immigration when you first enter as you’ll need it to exit, there doesn’t seem to be any mobile service signal if you’re roaming so no mobile internet either, layer your clothes— I had a light puffy jacket in the morning and was just wearing a T-shirt in...

Punchlines from doing the W trek

Cons:

Lots and lots of people on the W trail; lots of infrastructure to monetize tourism Campsites can be loud; serve alcohol until 1030 pm Outdoor experience and the associated serenity is diminished

Pros

Stunning scenery- 10/10 Hiking still fun and can be a challenge Meet interesting people from all over Supplied tents are comfortable actually There are hot showers at the camps

I was here in 2007 doing to O route and the park has dramatically changed since then to monetize tourism which I get but I preferred when it was more wild. Still beautiful and a great experience. If you go, the O route would be 100% the way to go and then blow through...

We took a tour of Torres del Paine, and it honestly blew me away. The views were absolutely sensational. I was glued to the mountains the whole time. The hikes weren’t too challenging at all which made it easy to enjoy without feeling worn out. They even pick you up at your hotel or wherever you are staying at and drop you off at your desired location once back in the village of Puerto Natales. The wildlife was really cool too, we saw some unique animals along the way. We only had three days to explore, but I left wishing we had stayed the whole week. Such a peaceful and...
