We walked for an hour to get to this distillery after a recommendation from our hostel in Vicuna but when we arrived, the staff did everything in their power not to acknowledge us. Even when we literally stood in front of them, they averted their eyes and pretended we weren’t there. When someone did eventually acknowledge us and we asked about a distillery tour, they simply said ‘no English tours’ and walked off. All in all, the experience made us feel really uncomfortable and unwelcome - there are many other distilleries (especially in the Pisco Elqui area) which are not only far less rude, but genuinely make you feel as if they are passionate to share the art of pisco with you.

They give free guided tours inside the distillery, you can see each part of the production of pisco, ask any questions, take pictures and they give a free sample at the end. There's no obligation to buy anything after the free tour and samples. You can bring kids, there are restrooms and you can buy bottles of pisco and cocktails. Most of the guides speak English. It has a lovely courtyard to drink your tastings.
