Harbin Taiping International Airport — Local services in Harbin

It is not the most exciting airport, but its functional. It has quite a number of domestic flights, connecting to more major transport hubs, as I do not believe that there is a substantial amount of international flights. Some, but definitely not many to choose from. Being in the north, this airport is quite susceptible to bad weather, as that was what happen to yours truly.

Having spent a good number of hours due to the delay, I probably covered most of the secure area of the terminal. There are a few shops selling local food specialties, a few F&B outlets, and some convenience store type kiosks. Really nothing much to do if you get stuck here, fortunately the terminal is quite clean, seating were plentiful, and it wasn't super hard to locate...

Does not have good experience here. We are foreigner and cannot read chines much (even we can speak) . That day we accidentally queue the E09 counter which is business class lane. (When we walk close the counter then realise because the chines wording size large then english).

The person who at the counter is rude and not sincere to advice this is VIP lane. I feel that she lookdown the passenger who not taking business class. I understand we queue wrong lane. But I hope that she can advice sincerely instead that kind of attitude.

Good airport. Nice staff. Spacious enough. You can find anything you need. Parking is convenient. Only problem is that it's for example more expensive to go to Harbin from the airport than to Daqing. From daqing you can take a bus for 80rmb, I took a taxi from the airport to the city center and paid 400rmb (got ripped off, didn't know the actual price) otherwise Harbin is a...
