Shanghai Audi International Circuit — Local services in Shanghai

This was a surreal moment for me as it was the very first time I watched my favourite sport, Formula 1 motor racing live. I was just concluding a business trip in China and had to extend the flight out of Pudong international to go to the UBS (then) racing circuit to watch the race over 50kms from where I was residing. I was so fortunate that this was the last season that the v8 awesome sounding cars were to be used before the dawn of the hybrid era. I was so exhilarated that instead of plugging the ear buds provided on entry, into my ears, I instead threw them in my pocket just to enjoy the engine sounds. It was indeed one of my life's numerous exciting moments. I just love the ambience, the crowds and of course the sounds at racing circuits, be it motogp, F1 or WRC. I hope F1 will soon return to that...

tour was very nice and went to paddock, grandstands, briefing room etc. One thing missing is a track tour, like Daytona they should have trams that take you for a roundabout, but since they're resurfacing the track now maybe they will in the future. They also need to have an open merch store, and consistent schedules for tours and gokart track, which was supposed to open but never did. The AC was not on and inside it was sweltering and completely deserted with no resteraunt or anything open which is a missed opportunity. Overall it's a great and cheap way to see f1 track, but they need to capitalize on...

A legendary circuit which has hosted F1 events since its inauguration in 2004. I attended the F1 weekend in 2025 and the event was well organized.

~ Grandstands: Most grandstands have a nice view especially the main grandstand (preferably upper section), grandstand B, and grandstand K. Be mindful of the shade as certain grandstands have no cover at all.

~ Access: You can rely on the train station. Yes, it will be congested after the race but it is considerably faster than the train system in other GPs, not to mention the ride takes an hour from city centre.
