My wife and I were here today (13 NOVEMBER 2025) to board a train from Shantou to Guangzhou. WOW! This railway station is MASSIVE! And BEAUTIFUL! And CLEAN! And well-ventilated! With excellent amenities therein. We LOVE it!

An old railway station with only one gate. It's recommended to only come here 30 mins prior to departure as seats are limited.

You can take the high-speed train directly from Hong Kong to Shantou Station, where there are public buses to Nanao Island.
