Do not order food or drink before getting a price. There are a few dubious guys working the beach who say they will "take care of you" which means bring food from somewhere, then tell you it costs a crazy price. I'd say skip eating there all together and actually the water was far better jumping off a boat we rented so if you are a snorkler that may be the best way to see the archipelago and avoid the scams.

the fruit and jewelry vendors i don't mind...but don't make it seem like you work for a restaurant and bring food (not even edible) and then try to charge crazy prices. this island also was pretty dirty with trash, at least the public beach where boats drop big groupdls...

The waters are so clear, clean and warm! The island is very calm and peaceful and much fewer tourists than the islands closer to Cartagena. The food is very delicious and the people are very kind. I highly recommend going to the island if you enjoy spending time at the beach either on your own...
