"Montesacro Cemetery" is a landmark in Medellin that you absolutely must visit! It's a unique place not because of who is buried there, but because of the energy that envelops you, created by the throngs of people who visit he's tomb with a sense of genuine love and respect! It might sound odd, but I could literally feel my body filling with emotions and positive energy! I won’t pass judgment on what Pablo Escobar did, or whether it was right or wrong. However, the modesty with which he is buried, along with the love and respect from people who continuously visit his grave even 30 years after his murder, speaks volumes. But the most telling statement is inscribed on his tombstone: "Fuiste un conquistador de sueños imposibles, más allá de la leyenda que hoy simbolizas; pocos conocen la verdadera esencia de tu vida." ("You were a conqueror of impossible dreams, beyond the legend you now symbolize; few know the true essence of your life.")

Went here to see the grave site of Pablo Escobar and his associates. Griselda Blanco is also buried here, it's basically a Narcos cemetary. Lots of tourist come to see this and take shots or smoke a blunt with Pablo. I recommend going on an educational tour and seeing the two perspectives of the man. He caused a lot of harm to the county, but also helped the ghettos where everyone had written off. Still a very touchy subject in Colombia so instead of opening old scars with the public, go on an educational tour (that doesn't give money to his associates) and learn about it.

This is a very well maintained and clean grave yard. It is also the final resting place of Pablo Escobar and Griselda Blanco. I had a lords meeting today. Well kinda! The future vape lord Michael Miller visited the graves of the the long dead drug lords. Pablo Escobar and Griselda Blanco These people are iconic in what they did. I am not glorifying that. They killed and spread drugs around the world. Ruined peoples lives. I just had to visit tho. They made their lives creating addiction. My life goal is to end addiction. To fix the future you have to acknowledge the past.
