Parque El Secreto — Local services in Quindío

The name is fitting, it is truly secret park. We were driving back from Cocora Valley with our 3 kids and my mom in her 70s when we saw the unassuming entrance on one of the turns to Salento. Jaime greeted us and was such a kind and accommodating host when we asked about a last minute trip for our family. We were on horses within 15 mins and headed out on a beautiful 30 mins ride along the river and through some hills. Manual was our guide and he was also great. I myself was a little nervous to ride but he made sure I was on a calm horse and did some whistling that seemed to keep all the horses in line. He made sure our kids (4, 5 and 8) stayed on the trail and answered all their questions about the horses.
