The tour that Kura and Jacopo offer to travelers in Rarotonga is a unique experience. We were lucky enough to participate in the walk to discover the interior of the island, which began with an accurate explanation and tasting of the tropical fruits that the island offers and which I didn't know existed. This experience was unforgettable for me, I fantasized about recipes for cakes and jams with the fantastic fruits I had just discovered. The trip inside thrilled us with the variety of plants and flowers, some endemic and after that I satisfied my palate with my sense of smell and sight. Kura and Jacopo are exceptional and expert guides, but above all they are nice and affectionate guys. The harmony was immediate. A 10 out of 10 for the typical picnic they offered us at the top of the mountain, it's worth the little effort to get up there and recharge your energy. This is definitely the best tour we have had in Rarotonga during 10 stays over the last 30 years. Rarotonga captures the heart by the sea, but the magic of the mountains is given to you by...

Kura and Jacapo took great care of myself and my 74 year old mother during our Inland Discovery tour recently. Unfortunately the day was torrential rain, however we were able to enjoy eating the tropical fruits in the orchard, and learned many interesting facts about traditional uses for plants, before hiking up the ridge. Sadly when we got there we were inside a cloud so we could not see the view but it was a unique experience nonetheless and we enjoyed a picnic of some delicious local snacks provided by our guides. The way down was slippery and treacherous, I felt concerned for my mother but our guides were fabulous and kept both of us safe all the way to the bottom. It felt like a true accomplishment to finish the trek. If you are not a fit person I would not recommend attempting this hike except in good weather, it was only due to our patient and exceptional guides that we made it. There are two rivers that you have to wade through so don't wear your white sneakers! Thank you Kura and Jacapo for an unforgettable experience - the hot bath afterwards...

A couple of weeks ago, we embarked on the Reef Explorer Tour with Ariimoana Walkabouts, guided by the very knowledgeable Kura and Jacopo (Jack). Their understanding of the reef’s ecosystem really enhanced our experience. We followed a path used by locals for decades, leading us to the outer reef’s ledge, offering a unique opportunity to explore the marine life up close . Along the way, Kura and Jack pointed out various marine creatures we might have overlooked, such as sea urchins, sea slugs, sea cucumbers, hermit crabs, sea hares, conches, starfish, and clams. We also had the chance to observe turtles, vibrant blue parrotfish swimming through the breaking waves, and even witnessed an eagle ray leaping out of the water. Kura’s passion for the ocean is contagious. She shared her knowledge of marine conservation and stories passed down through generations. After our walk, we were treated to a delightful spread of local snacks, providing a perfect end to our adventure. We highly recommend this intimate...

Touring Raro with Jacopo and Kura made our trip! It truly showed us the beauty of the island and all it has to offer that we could never have discovered on our own - from a private hiking trail with sweeping views of the coast and the needle, to tropical fruit tasting on a private orchard (with miracle fruit!), to a very carefully planned for comfort and safety snorkel tour of a pass that we had all to ourselves (well we shared it with tons of fish, giant puffers, and turtles), and part of the low tide walk to find interesting creatures - it was an amazing day! Our kids immediately felt comfortable and talked nonstop to our lovely guides over our delicious lunch of fruits, fish, coconut fritters and other fresh local foods. I cannot recommend them enough! They even helped the kids make toys of local plants and they were so engaged finding “ammo” they didn’t complain about the hike ;) I will also note that my kids are very knowledgeable and ask hard questions, and Jacopo and Kura answered every single one!

Kura and Jacopo are wonderful hosts and have extensive and unique knowledge of the land and waters of Rarotonga. We learnt about the village where Kura grew up and saw how respectful they both are to the landowners by involving them in their plans and decisions. The inland walk was a great introduction to the many tropical fruits grown on the Cook Islands and the climb up to the top of the hill was strenuous but totally worth it for the magnificent views of the landscapes. Returning to base we were spoiled with a selection of home made treats & specialities from the local villagers. As a small operator with a strong focus on sustainability, these two are doing important things on their island home. Would thoroughly recommend any of their offerings for something a little bit different to do on the Cook Islands. Meitaki Maata for a fabulous time!
