This trip to Costa Rica was jam-packed with amazing experiences,but RCR Rafting with our incredible guide Lalo definitely deserves a spot at the top of the list! From the moment we arrived, the staff was friendly, professional, and incredibly helpful.

The actual rafting trip itself was exhilarating! The Tenorio River rapids were a perfect mix of thrilling and manageable, and our guide, Lalo, did an outstanding job navigating us through the twists and turns. He was also super knowledgeable about the surrounding flora and fauna, pointing out interesting wildlife along the way. Lalo's enthusiasm and passion for the river were contagious, making the whole experience even more enjoyable.

Safety was clearly a top priority for RCR Rafting. Lalo, along with the rest of the guides, were very thorough with the safety briefing, and we felt completely confident in their expertise throughout the entire trip.

The delicious lunch provided after the rafting was the perfect way to refuel and reminisce about our adventure. The whole experience exceeded our expectations in every way.

The river itself was pretty and sight seeing down it was nice. I was hoping for it to be more rafting less sight seeing. I wasn’t told a single time by our guide to actually paddle. The one time he said he did, he didn’t use the command he set forth at the beginning, so I missed that he was talking to me. It felt more like tubing with a few drops, which I could have done at home on my own living by a river myself. The rafts are also much smaller than any I’ve ever been in before and my partner is a bigger guy. It was quite uncomfortable getting down in it and then back out, and anytime the rapids were big at all, he was coming out of the boat just because they was hardly any room to stay in it.

I’ve rafted the Pacuare River and would recommend going that direction if you can. You definitely paddle the entire time, and it’s more of the rafting experience that I was looking and hoping for. Unfortunately that would have been the opposite direction for us this trip. The experience wasn’t bad, just not...

We loved our whitewater rafting experience! Even though the water was “low” the rapids were amazing. Our guide, Lelo, was informative, skilled and made sure we had a wonderful experience. The company was very professional, their practices were safe, and they were organized and buttoned up.

The Tenorio River is beautiful, and the rapids spectacular! We chose RCR Rafting because we liked the smaller rafts, so we were closer to the water and could be participants in the experience, and not just floating along with the guide doing all the work.

The guides took photos of you in the biggest rapids, which is a wonderful memento of our trip. Because it is a fast-moving experience, and you were constantly wet, it was difficult to take your phone for photos, so we appreciated the having all of the pictures emailed to us afterwards ($40 fee for over 50 photos).
