We booked this tour at the very last minute with friends that were visiting not knowing if our timing was right for bioluminescence. The company was very helpful and informative about this when I reached out. They told us that nights prior were some of the best they seen the bioluminescence. We were skeptical about going so close after the full moon and it was windy that day. Boy, were we wrong. We were amazed and mesmerized at the sheer volume of plankton and how vibrant they were. They told us that photos are almost impossible and video as well but we tried. I wish I had the proper camera to record this most wonderful experience. The staff were great and spoke both English and Spanish. They gave us not only information about bioluminescence but the local area as well. It was a beautiful evening that everyone should experience. 5 star all the way. Thank you.

Absolutely one of the best experiences of my entire life!!!!! I would highly, highly recommend it. Remember to wear a bathing suit so that you can get in the water and play. And wear a black t-shirt so that you can scoop the algae up close. We made bioluminescent angels in the water by fanning our arms and legs out. It was magical! I felt like a fairy. Our guides were very knowledgeable and passionate about the phenomenon. Even though they see it every day, it’s always like the first time. They made sure we kept together in the dark and one of the guides stayed with a couple that were not very experienced.

DO THIS!!! Everything about the experience was amazing. We encountered some delays getting to our tour - flight delays, ferry delays, traffic. But Alex was super willing to work with us and wait, even when I told him he didn't have to. There was no one else on the beach when we arrived. We didn't have to paddle very far at all before we saw the bioluminescence. It was super cool!!! Basically just bright blue glitter in the water, and it looked like liquid glitter all over your hands and in the water in the boat. It was incredible, have never seen anything like it. Alex explained about it a bit and then just let us do our thing, not feeling obligated to talk the whole time. It was so peaceful and so perfect. Can't...
