I went to Mount Srđ to see the sunrise and followed the northwest trail shown on the map (Mappy). There were some ruins along the way. The view on the way down was also quite beautiful! The path is unpaved, with grass around and occasional horse droppings on the trail, so hiking shoes and long pants are a must. The descent toward the town has lots of loose stones and suddenly becomes steep, so be careful!

Nice trek up, take care as lots of ankle twisting rocks. Beautiful views from the top, the ruins were interesting but there's sadness there for the history and lives lost.

Geschichtsträchtiger Ort der leider vernachlässigt und verschmutzt wird. Die Aussicht von hier ist schön aber wenn man sich vorher mit der schlimmen Zeit 1991-1995 beschäftigt hat auch sehr bedrückend. Die Ruinen die noch übrig sind zeigen starke Beschädigungen durch die Angriffe auf und teilweise sind auch Gedenktafeln angebracht. Schlangen sind dort oben auch anzutreffen.

I'll give it a five star because of the view and adventure to get there. Fort as a structure is in ruin and there is nothing much to see. I'm sure it was magnificent when built but now is just pile of rocks. And that pile of rocks was additionally destroyed in Homeland war in the nineties. So... Enjoy the view! Following the same path that bring you to this fort will take you to several more fortresses all around...
