We went there on a day with too much cloud coverage for a decent view of the sunset, but the views of the city were still lovely. I'd recommend getting a taxi instead of the cable car if there are two or more of you as it ends up being far cheaper. We still took the cable car down for the experience though!

As many other reviews say, it gets pretty busy before the sunset, so get there early for a good spot.

This was a really good experience and a very surreal one. The ascent up the mountain is not for the faint hearted but worth every turn and bump. The journey up the hill introduces a good history of the city and its origin. There are a few points on the way up to take pictures of the city, which is beautiful. When you're at the top take pictures witticism but don't forget to talk in the view of the sunsetting. It goes quicker than you think but glorious...
