We chartered a boat for a week and ended up anchoring in one of the quiet bays for the night. There are two restaurants. The island does not have power and limited water, yet they cope very nicely. There are some permanent inhabitants on the island who produces olive oils and wine. Italso gets delivered to you boat and if you order ahead of time, you can get fresh baguettes delivered to your boat early morning. We took a 4km hike to the monistary.

We had the most wonderful night. So friendly and the food was all delicious. It’s an amazing spot and we would have stayed longer if we could have. Note they only take cash though!

The bay is absolutely beautiful and the people taking care of it are even more fantastic. The moorings are a bit specific and you get assisted to make everything right. They charge a very fair price for a buoy and (unlike many other bays around) even supply you with a very nice kit of garbage separation bags that they collect off each boat in the evening. Additionally, there is Filip, who delivers homemade jams and other produce through the day. Beautiful, we will return as...

This island offers much more than you think when passing by. On the north side in the largest bay there are several restaurants. It is a very protected bay with many places for anchoring. There is no mooring only anchoring. You have to go to the restaurants in dingy. Booking in the restaurants is essential. You have to also know that on the south side of Hvar there are no good places to stop for the night so in 20 miles this is the best place. The alternative is south...
