Porat Grill Šćedro — Restaurant in Jelsa

An absolute standout from our sail in Croatia. The elevated position provides a stunning view of Šćedro bay. Food was outstanding - we ordered the fresh tuna tartar which was a generous serving, marinated anchovies and grilled fish with chips. The lady running the restaurant is both the host and the cook, and she didn’t miss a beat - it was impressive to see her run the restaurant seamlessly and with so much joy. We brought our 16 year old dog with us (from Australia but now lives in New York) and she was welcomed and looked after with some fresh water. Wow!!! That was amazing! We reached the restaurant in the afternoon. Swum on our own there from our boat. Without money just wanted to have a look and were invited by the owner for a drink. In the night we came back. Now with money. And we were not disappointed. It was the best fish I had since a long time. The owner/chef and here server (they are just two running this beautiful, picturesque restaurant with an amazing view), are so friendly, welcoming hosts. The prices are typically for this area. Nice restaurant. The waitress was really courteous. The food was amazing, especially the Tuna steak!

Additional information for Sailors: if you enter the bay, there is ony guy, which gives you a boje. The boje cost 25 kuna per 1 m of the boat. Including transfer to the restaurant in the evening and garbage transport! The bay is very well organized. Philipp is a farmer from the island, he comes to your boat and sell some self-made products (oil, grappa, liquore, marmelade).
