Nice little local history museum.... with changing exhibitions in one of the oldest villages in the area. We enjoyed the exhibition about the forest and the Par Force Hunting Landscape. And not everyone knows that the norwegian composer and pianist Edvard Grieg (1843-1907) composed his world famous "Piano concerto in A minor" in the summer 1868 in this old country house in Søllerød. There`s a memorial plaque on the side of the building. After visiting the museum we walked around in the old village and the idyllic nature. Mothsgården is located on a hill above Søllerød lake, close to the old village pond, the Inn, the medieval Søllerød church and other 18th century buildings.
