What an incredible evening! Celebrated with my girlfriend at Søllerød, and we went with the 7-course menu plus wine pairing. This is classic Michelin star-level food: the taste is superior, but the dishes also look so amazingly good! They are works of art in their own right. The balance between seafood, meat, vegetarian, cheeses and desserts is impeccable, and the wine pairing superb. The interior of the building is charming and original: it has the look and feel of a typical Danish "kro", or tavern which would probably be the best English translation. But it is of course decorated to make it come off as more luxurious and exquisite, matching the level of the food. The staff were professional and friendly, and we would like to mention specifically our main waiter, a charming young blonde man with glasses, who was such a gentleman throughout the entire evening. This place is well worth the money!

You can feel they are selling service once you walk in 🤣🤣🤣 Place is good and very clean but too warm inside as not even open a bit of the windows. We try their 5 dishes menu + 2 glass of champagne which around US$350 / person would be a bit expensive according to the food quality. Fine dining which expect small portion so would like to say good portion. Most of the dishes is very salty and you can’t taste the food itself 😮‍💨 BUT, bread is good as search warm and nice butter they have too. Dessert — ice cream wonderful but the beans they put there is really not matching at all in taste 🤦🏻‍♀️ Price vs quality, a bit over price but must say staffs try to serve the best 🤞🏻

Den smukke indretning, både inde og ude, sætter en stemning af elegance og afslappethed, som skaber en nærmest magisk atmosfære. Det er tydeligt, at personalet sætter gæsternes behov højt. Vi blev mødt med stor imødekommenhed, især da vi havde en barnevogn med os. De sørgede for rigeligt med plads og tog hensyn til vores specifikke ønsker. Dette var virkelig værdsat. Tjenerne var særdeles professionelle og grundige, og deres tilgang var både behagelig og omhyggelig. Én tjener skilte sig især ud. Han udstrålede humor og varme og gjorde sig ekstra umage for at tilpasse sig vores selskabs dynamik. Det er netop den slags detaljer, der løfter en serviceoplevelse fra det gode til det fremragende. Maden var uden tvivl en smagsoplevelse af høj kvalitet. Retterne udfordrede vores smagsløg på spændende måder og bød på noget for enhver smag – dog ikke nødvendigvis alt for alle. Det samlede mæthedsniveau var en udfordring. Tiden mellem retterne blev lidt lang, hvilket blev dækket ind med servering af brød – i så rigelige mængder, at det næsten virkede som om, det skulle mætte mere end selve signaturmenuen. Det var en ærgerlig følelse, især i betragtning af det gastronomiske niveau, man forventer af en restaurant som Søllerød Kro. En anden overraskelse var, at menukortet ikke indeholdt kød, ud over en ret med canette (and). Det er naturligvis et spørgsmål om smag og præferencer, men for mig personligt var det en skuffelse. Søllerød Kro er en Michelin-restaurant, og med dette følger naturligvis et prisleje, der afspejler det høje niveau. Dog var det chokerende at betale 480 kroner for vand Alt i alt var Søllerød Kro en mindeværdig oplevelse med mange positive elementer: fantastisk service, spændende og veltilberedte retter og en skøn atmosfære. Alligevel var der små, men væsentlige elementer, der trak oplevelsen ned.

Lovely traditional Inn with an 1880 - 1920s bright and airy aestethic. Apparently played a foundational role in the Danish culinary haute cuisine revolution as some of the most famous chefs started their careers here.

French style white table linen eatery in a beautiful area. Friendly staff. Great for a family occasion or for a date. We were greeted by the chef and restaurateur and had the pleasure of speaking to him several times. Delicious Danish seasonal food. Impressive wine list with great finds. A real pleasure after trying experimental food and wine at Noma the week before.

Consider combining with a walk at the nearby Open Air Museum / Frilandsmuseet for a great...
