Lago Azul Cap Cana — Local services in Higüey

Amazing fresh water lake. They are open once again just in time for Dominican Spring Break! Here you can swim, paddle board and kayak for free. There's 2 foodtrucks for food and drink (Loch and Wiri wiri, only Loch has reopened at the moment and Wiri Wiri has announced they'll reopen soon) There's big beds where you can chill or leave your things while you swim. During the morning you have best chances of having the place to yourself, but its pretty big so it would need to get reeeally crowded for you to be uncomfortable. The lake has some little fish and if you are lucky you'll be able to see some turtles as well. Richard the lifesaver is the person to know, he is extremely friendly and will get you the kayaks and paddle boards as well as tell you any info you want about the lake. He informed that they will be open for all of the spring break, but after that they will close on mondays. The regular schedule will be from 9am to 5:45pm...

One of the most beautiful places on Cap Cana and DR, i totally love it and go there almost every weekend. Very good place to chill in the lake and also to hand with friends in the afternoon and have a very decent snack at the food trucks. 1000%...

This place is Amazing. So different from everything around. The lifeguard was incredibly nice and helpful. There aren't tons of sitting areas during the weejends nor shade so keep that in mind when you go. Great place to go with...
