Fruit and vegetable market in Hurghada
The market (in the Arabic souk) is located in the old town of Hurghada in the Dahar district and can be reached by taxi or minibus.
The market is definitely worth a visit because you get a glimpse of real life in Egypt and not many tourists get lost here.
This also has the advantage that you are left alone and are not constantly being spoken to from all sides.
You can buy fresh seasonal fruit, vegetables and herbs here for very little money.
In the winter months and spring, for example, you can find fresh strawberries, guavas, oranges and spinach.
In the summer months there are mangos, watermelons, grapes and peaches.
