Hunderte Delfine sind Medienberichten und Angaben von Umweltschützern zufolge auf den Färöer-Inseln in einen Fjord getrieben und getötet worden. Nach Angaben des färöischen Rundfunksenders KVF wurden mehr als 1.400 der Tiere am Sonntagabend im Skálafjord erlegt. Wie der dänische Rundfunk am Dienstag berichtete, hat die Aktion die lokale Debatte über die traditionsreiche Waljagd erneut in Gang gebracht. Diese Jagd wird als "Grindadrap" bezeichnet und seit Jahrhunderten auf den zum dänischen Königreich zählenden, aber weitgehend autonomen Inseln im Nordatlantik betrieben.
