Went to Malamala on 4/5 around 3PM after a diving trip, came on my own personal small boat with a local captain. Before deciding to go onto the island, I asked what the prices and landing fees would be. Was informed by the malamala boat captain that it would be 30fjd landing fee which would include a complimentary 50fjd food voucher. Thinking this was a good deal, agreed to go onto the island, where this offer was also confirmed by the front desk. On the way back the malamala boat captain confirmed that indeed we should have recieved the 50fjd complimentary voucher and it was indeed a mistake on the part of the people who charged our bill. I was informed to write an email to malamala which I have but not yet received a reply to. In any case, I would not be visiting malamala again, and feel scammed. Most likely it was just the lack of communication between the payment area and everyone else, but it feels like i...

Whilst the Island staff don’t tell you - if you don’t return your plastic Tab card on the island they will try and charge you $50 for...
