We booked the ski session for beginners. 45 mins with an instructor. We were brand new to skiing as in never even held skis. We went to the cafe to wait for the instructor but didn't realise we had to check in for our stuff on our own. I got boots which went on but they were agony on my feet which I think if I'd been told to get a bigger size than my normal shoe size it would have helped. The fact my feet were hurting so much meant we didn't stay as long as we would have liked. The instructor was great, very patient and friendly. He pushed me out of my comfort zone and I was so nervous but so glad after. Within the 45 mins we learnt a lot and afterwards I went down the family slope a few times on my own albeit very slowly. Overall we had a great time but I think they need to realise some people are literally brand new to skiing so more guidance needed around how the boots should feel etc. Also on the travelator the instructor was telling my husband how to exit it but I couldn't hear as I was at the back. So again just being aware people will book this session who have zero clue what they are doing. All the staff we spoke to were fantastic, there was no judgement given how bad we were and the short session packed a lot of teaching in and was very informative. We do recommend...

Consider the time of day and group size when booking the dog sledding. We joined he 20k trip that started at 2pm. Unfortunately, that meant first meeting at the Lapland Safari Office in Luosto and traveling with a large group of 30 on a bus to the husky farm. There, we sat through a briefing before a slow start on the sleds in near darkness and soon enough, pitch black. Don’t be fooled by romantic marketing: you’ll be following guide-mounted snowmobiles and their fumes the whole way. When we arrived at our stopping point for coffee, some of the group didn’t arrive in time to receive any. And, with fresh snow and warmer temps, the trail was too soft for the dogs and many sleds struggled to climb hills requiring numerous guests to push for a considerable amount of the trip. I understand that every party will experience something different and some elements can’t be controlled by the guides, but for the price paid in this case, a better experience should have...

Absolutely amazing and friendly staff! We were doing all our activities here for the whole week in Finland, Snowmobile, Husky Rides, Reindeer Rides, dinner at Kota, Aurora Lights, Amethyst Mine..we did almost everything and we can't wait to return next Christmas and choose the same Safari again! (We were thinking of Snow Shoe walking next and more longer snowmobile rides and Husky Rides, we would like to do everything again with you!) :)

Appropriate equipment was prepared every time. Every staff member was so friendly and wonderful, and I'd even get to take a picture with a 'very tall' member of staff who dressed up as an elf holding my favourite Berry Juice carton in Finland. (Which I can't even get in the UK) All in all, we will come back again and do some more different activities with you and the staff once more over...
