Alps Mountain Bike — Local services in Bonneville

I did a the Tour de Mont Blanc with Martial at Alps Mountain Bike Tours a year ago. He is a great teacher - my skills developed under his expert tuition. He has an encyclopaedic knowledge of the terrain - including, for example, upcoming hazards on the track ahead; the best places for photos; how much water to carry until the next water station etc.

I did the tour with a guy whose review below one-starred the trip. When I saw that review I felt I had to post this comment, as I really thought that review was unfair. That rider was not fit enough for the trip, and he missed some of the days as a result. He said at the start that he had not trained on hills before coming out to the Alps. I have done 4 trips with Martial and Alpsmountainbike to date and it has caused much trouble for me. It was amazing beyond words in all respects, to such an extent that I often find myself blankly staring into the distance during meetings, longing back to these memorable days on the best singletrack I have EVER ridden. The guide Matial is an expert and very good teacher, the ride is only for people who have really advanced level, we were a group of 5 and we all suffered falls, one of our patner had to be rescued in helicopter after suffering 7 fracture in the back and a rib, remember that this tour is not for intermediate level, it is for MTB with extensive experience in difficult mountains.
