I need to provide an honest and detailed review of this spa from beginning to end. I’m staying at the hotel that houses this spa which is why I chose to do a treatment here and because the hotel and spa are both branded by Caudalie so I thought it was gonna be a really great experience.
A week prior my husband helped me book, originally I was going to do a 50 min massage but then the spa emailed and said the 50 min doesn’t include use of spa, only a treatment 60 mins or longer does. But here’s the catch, the spa doesn’t offer 60 min treatments, only 50 or 80. If you do the 50, you have to pay 43 euros additional to use the spa. There were also no 10 min add ons or anything. So I did the 80 mins to get spa access. When I got there, the treatment rooms are naturally inside the spa as are locker rooms and everything else so you really don’t need to book the 80 mins unless they are so petty as to follow you around and kick you out the min you finish your massage.
The spa itself is very cheap feeling and I’ll tell you how. First they give you a plastic cup which you have to keep with you the whole time in order to drink water or tea. Second they don’t have normal spa items like q-tips, hairbrushes or anything else. Third they have combo soap and shampoo in the shower. Caudalie makes standalone soap and shampoo, so it’s weird they are too cheap to let guest have soap and shampoo. Last the welcome gift is cheap small magazine size samples, not even a regular product. I was in Nice and Caudalie carts were giving people full size items for free while this spa is Caudalie and you pay and get magazine samples. Additionally you only have half day access to spa even with 80 min treatment. They also come 5 mins late to come get you so 80 mins is really 75 mins. Pricing is 200 euros for 80 mins.
If you are staying in hotel, the regular indoor pool is much better than the one in spa. All in all you should definitely not be fooled and just skip the spa. It’s a place where they nickle and dime you. Honestly they should just charge more and not act so cheap. I will say the steam room is really good and probably the only redeeming feature for this spa.
Outside of the spa, the hotel is wonderful and definitely worth visiting...
Read moreTypical French spa. I have been looking for a good spa all over France and had hoped this was it but sadly they aren't great. They make everything look beautiful but the actual amenities and treatments are basic at best. They don't even have combs or deodorant for you to use. This is slightly better than most as you get a robe and shoes and there is shampoo and conditioner but otherwise you need to bring your own everything. I did an wrap and bath and my skin felt dry and stripped of nutrients afterward. Really a disappointment. I guess I'll...
Read moreI had the Lift Facial during my stay and it was incredibly relaxing from start to finish. My skin felt instantly more hydrated, tightened, and refreshed after the treatment. It was the perfect skin reset for my 2 weeks of traveling. I regularly get microcurrent facials back home in the U.S., and this experience truly impressed me. The pricing was very reasonable, making it a great value for such a...
