Petit-Lourdes — Local services in Caen

Very pleasant surprise, stumbled onto that place while driving around. Stopped to check it out and saw that it was the Little Lourdes, and from the explanation of the guide the cave and church are exact replicas of the ones in Lourdes, just smaller.

Doesn’t take long to visit but very nice, we’re lucky to have visited it when it was very quiet and peaceful.

There’s a little shop where you can buy some souvenirs, candles to lite in the cave and other goodies. The little Marie bottles are filled with water from Lourdes.

I found this place by accident. I had an appointment in Caen but arrived 2 hours earlier. So I drove along the river bank on both sides looking for a place to stop.
