This was the most amazing hair salon experience I've ever had in my life - and I have been going to salons for many years all over the world. I found Oliver Brown on the internet while in Paris. The fact that the salon is English caught my eye because my French is not good. I called to book an appointment and Oliver answered the phone himself. He squeezed me in despite the fact that it was just a few days away and he was very booked. I took a 45 minute Uber ride to get to his location, but it was absolutely worth it. (By the way, the studio is not in a shopping area of Paris. It's more like a neighborhood on a small street so you have to look for it a bit. There is a hostel about a block away on the same side of the street - that is a good landmark.) I thought since Oliver was so booked that he wouldn't have a lot of time to spend with me. But he spent a long time listening to what I wanted and then explaining to me how he thought he could make it even better than what I was asking for - so I told him to go ahead. I couldn't believe it! My hair right now is as BEAUTIFULLY BLONDE as it was when I was a teenager and my hair was natural! I LOVE IT! Oliver's lovely assistant, Brooke, offered wine, water, tea and coffee. While she was washing my hair I noticed that the sink was somehow different because my neck was not cranked back and aching like it always is in salon sinks. Turns out they have these super great sinks that have a rest for your head inside the sink. I don't know why every salon doesn't have these. The music in the studio was very relaxing and not too loud at all. And there was none of the snootiness and attitude that some salons have. I was so happy with Oliver's genius work that I asked him if he would write down the formulas he used on my hair because I don't live in Paris and unfortunately I can't fly there every time I need my hair done. He happily gave me the formula, which I'n not sure that many colorists would do. In summary - this salon is heavenly and Oliver is a brilliant artist! Thank you...
Read moreSo incredibly bad! I never write reviews but I want to make sure people don’t make this same mistake as I found this googling ‘ English speaking salon’ . I wish I could attach photos my hair is so awful. The foils were so bandy/streaky and uneven in width. I also looked like I had 6 weeks regrowth when I left. I so wish I could attach the photos from when it was freshly done looking 6-8 weeks grown out! The excuse was ‘the foils slipped’. She said she didn’t have time to fix it then eventually said she could run a foil through the front but to hide the damage but I had to leave as it was late and I had a flight. All round very poor technique, horrible results that even she knew were awful. Can not warn people not to go here enough. I will have to get it fixed on my return to Australia for hundreds of dollars. They didn’t even offer a proper discount for this- she simply gave me a ‘free treatment’. My family and friends were shocked at what I came out with and said I should have demanded a full refund and...
Read moreGigi has just saved my hair life!! She is an absolute star! I had just come to Paris for a weekend trip and have managed to get my hairbrush tangled in my hair really badly. Rather than cutting it off and ruining my holiday I called up Gigi who immediately made space in her busy schedule to accommodate me! Not only was she super gentle and took the time to save my hair but she was super professional and so nice to chat to! I watched her doing other people’s hair and you can clearly see and feel the passion and love she has for good looking hair. Her salon is a real hidden gem and I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND making an appointment with her. Fantastic service, excellent results and you won’t believe it but she didn’t even charge me!! I couldn’t have been happier! Next time I’m here I’ll be sure to go there for a haircut! Fabulous English speaking salon in Paris! If you’re in need of a nice cut or colour (or get your hair tangled like me) I would...
