We visited the St Estephe Chateau Tronquoy (formerly Lalande), with a delightful tour by Andrea of the fields and the wine-making operation. Andrea’s English is excellent, and she was very knowledgeable and articulate. We learned a lot about their wine making process. Their wines are very good. Note, we had found one of their wines at our local wine store in the U.S. and liked it very much, and that is why we chose to visit this chateau. It turned out to be an excellent choice!

Visite guidée gratuite et très sympathique. Les informations données sur la vinification sont très intéressantes. Visite du cuvier. Un des château du Médoc qui fait aussi du vin blanc. ( pour info, le vin Blanc ne peut pas avoir encore l'appellation Médoc, réservée aux vins rouges ils sont donc commercialisés sous l'appellation "Bordeaux". Fin 2023, l'appellation "Médoc blanc" devrait être mise en place.

Honestly, I wish I could explain properly how amazing this experience was. We stopped by, met Marc and he took us around the property, sharing his knowledge of the vines and processes onsite. We had the opportunity to watch a portion of a harvest while Marc explained step by step what was occurring and how minor details create the path to a great result. The wines are exceptional and Marc's passion...

We walked in with no reservation, but were made to feel very welcome, and it was only a short time until they could take us for a tasting. The staff is friendly, with excellent English, and the host who poured for us was very knowledgeable and cordial.
