Great snorkelling suited to beginners and up. Noodles available for those who need it, reef shoes not allowed but flippers okay. Very picturesque and better preserved than some of the other places in New Caledonia (and around the world) that we have snorkelled although not perfect, but it helps that they only allow a certain number of people into the bay throughout the day. Definitely worth the $20 odd dollars per person to visit, must be booked before arrival to the bay (on the cruise ship) and I think (and hope) every cent goes to the locals that maintain/patrol the place...

You need to pay for a marine pass, available from the locals, or if you come by cruise ship you can pre-purchase onboard. There are built up stairs with hand rails that lead you down to the water and there is also public toilets & shower.
