We expected this to be a quick "boiler plate" tour with a push to buy products but were amazed at how professional and thorough our tour was. We learned so much from our tour which began in their olive grove. Marianna was a wonderful host whose deep knowlege of and passion for the olive world kept us completely attentive. We saw a short film which was excellent. We saw firsthand each step in the process of making olive oil (we were lucky to be there when the pressing was in progress). As part of the tour we tasted three types of olives and several olive oils, each with distinct characeristics, with commentary from our guide. Read moreExtraordinary service The family and I visited and bought the guided tour. While buying tickets (and after) we received great recommendations of other attractions in the region, and got answers to any questions we had. The guided tour was split into English and non-english. Even though we were only a family of four, we still got the full tour in English. We had a great guide named Solene, very friendly, and fluent in English. She gave us a tour around the place, and described the whole process, from harvesting to shop shelf's. At the olive tasting she even gave great recommendations on how to use olive oil for cooking, and what to look out for when buying.
I highly recommend visiting this place, and getting a guided tour from their friendly and service...
Read moreThanks to Marianna we now have a great understanding of the history of olives and how they get from the producers to our shops. In particular, through what turned out to be a personal tour for myself and my wife, her enthusiasm, sense of humour and knowledge allowed us to appreciate the work that is required to produce top quality olives. The walk around and short video were extremely enjoyable. From the tour we did the tastings which meant we left with our delicious selections. I was also able to purchased a lovely piece of glass work from their onsite shop. Great way to spend a few hours, thanks again Marianne and all the other employees who do...
