Colline d'Élancourt — Local services in Rambouillet

Back in 2000 it was where we'd go with the kids to fly kites on Sunday and escape the flatness of the banlieu. But nobody used to talk to eachother up there. Everyone in their bulle even before cellphones. Very lonely but still, nice to watch the light in the distance breaking through cloud. I thought it not a natural hill as it looks flat on top like a mine dump. The walk to the top was steep in parts with overgrown paths, we used to trip and fall coming down. Never thought I'd see it used as an Olympic piste one day. Didn't even recognise it at first while watching...

Une honte. Cette colline, avant les J.O. était accessible, tout le temps, 24/24, 7 jours sur 7, par tout temps. Actuellement, la colline est fermée, par des énormes portails qui n'existaient pas avant jusqu au moins 3 trimestre 2025. Scandaleux. On s'approprie des endroits dans la nature. La prochaine étape, c'est quoi ? Faire payer aux gens parce que vous avez décidé d'y aménager un sentier et 3 bancs? Rendez la butte à ces habitants, c'est honteux ce que vous avez fait ....

Excellent spot pour les amateurs de VTT ! Le parcours, spécialement conçu pour les JO 2024, est vraiment bien pensé et offre de belles sensations. Les infrastructures sont encore neuves et bien conservées, ce qui est normal vu l’ouverture récente (le 17 mai). J’espère que l’entretien suivra dans le temps, à tester...
