The vintage wine tour was really one of the highlights of our recent trip to Champagne! Our group of 5 was picked up by Julien at the hotel in Reims, and he drove us safely to the vineyards where our guide waited with the bikes. The biketour was great, the vineyard and the landscape was beautiful and we learned a lot. The guide was very knowledgeable and easy to understand, and he answered all our many questions. Last stop was Larnaudie-Hirault where Romain waited for us at his family’s champagne house. We got a tour of the house and the production, and he showed us the whole process before tasting three of his champagnes. At the end of the tour we were dropped off at our new hotel in Epernay. Absolutely wonderful experience! Easy to communicate and arrange the trip according to our wishes. We (group of 12) got picked up at the hotel in Reims on time and bikes were ready to go. Great and easy way to explore the vineyards and very informative stops and talks along the way. We got a tour at the family champagne house topped off with a lunch in the garden with plenty of champagne. This was by far the highlight of our wkend away. We had a fantastic experience biking through the vineyards with our guide Romain who is very nice, reliable and very knowledgeable about the champagne region and the champagne making process. It’s a fun way to discover the region. We ended our trip with a very interesting visit of the Larnaudie-Hirault cellars and a champagne tasting.
