Definitely worth a visit to the imposing church with its 15C Bell Tower with the remaining building dating from the 17C. Fine examples of stained glass windows and frescos appear to date back to the 19th century. There are a number of decorated chapels and the main altar with stained glass window behind is impressive. Sadly we did not make it up the Bell Tower but we very much enjoyed our visit.

Uitzonderlijk interessante kerk in de gemeente Marennes. Imposante verschijning aan een mooi pleintje met knotplatanen. Flamboyante gotische stijl met woelig verleden. Wat we nu bewonderen dateert voornamelijk uit de XVIIIe E. Bevat kapellen afgezoomd door prachtig traliewerk. Uitzonderlijke altaarstukken en ornamenten. Zeer rijk voorzien van fresco's en heiligenbeelden, alles top. Hoge kwaliteit van afwerking en sacrale sfeer. Glasraamwerk achter altaar is buiten categorie. Toren kan beklommen worden mits betaling van 2 € te boeken bij pastorie. Benadert absolute schoonheid, helaas ook de schoonheid der licht verval. Onze dank voor iedereen die het monument in stand houdt!!!!!

La municipalité propriétaire de ce monument Histoirique ne figure pas parmi les plus pauvres maid ne réagit pas et laisse ce merveilleux patrimoine partir à l'abandon ; bientôt il ne pourra plus être sauvé. Éclairage défaillant, défaut de chauffage en hiver... etc Il est urgent d'intervenir sinon tout sera perdu et la Mémoire des Hommes avec.

Trés grande église qui se voit de trés loin, qui appelle à la visite et au recueillement. L'intérieur est sobre avec de beaux vitraux et un orgue imposant. Ce lieu mérite un petit détour pour découvrir l'architecture et se souvenir de ceux qui ont construit ce bel édifice.

Very large church which is seen from very far, which calls to the visit and to recollection. The interior is sober with beautiful stained glass windows and an imposing organ. This place is worth a detour to discover the architecture and remember those who built this...
