A word of advice for newcomers – there are no facilities on-site, so remember to bring your own snacks and drinks. Also, parking can be a bit of a challenge due to its limited availability, so I recommend arriving early to secure a spot.
Families with young children should note that the waves here can be quite rough. It's not the most kid-friendly beach in terms of water activities, so extra caution is advised.

There are two entrances on either side of the parking area. If you're looking for a bit of local art, take the entrance on the right; it features a beautifully painted stairway marked with the 'Baie Rouge' sign – a perfect photo opportunity!
Shade is scarce, so bringing a tent or planning to stand by the trees at the back of the beach for relief from the sun is a good idea. Also, avoid the temptation to climb the stairs on the private property to the right, near the cliff. They are slippery and dangerously close to the waves.
