The place has some good stuff and is a regular market you can buy produce and other spices needed. The staff is usually friendly and professional. But there's just this one woman who is super racist and unfriendly to foreigners. She actually yelled at me when I was unsure of what she was saying. She actually raised her voice. That was a frightening experience because no employee, or customer, should raise their voices and shout at people. Then, another time she was at the register, a German woman took a while trying to find cash, and the cashier gestured for the woman to take her time. Then, when I went up, the cashier's face went into a frown and she tossed my items through the scanner and as I paid, faster than the other woman, this lady put my items on a different shelf like she was very angry that I was taking so long. Her body language was so plain and clear. This woman is terrible and really should not be an employee. She made my experience horrifying and I go to Edeka now as the employees there are professional. I am delighted to give Aldi North near my dormitory a five-star review. The staff is incredibly friendly and always willing to help. However, I would love to see a broader selection of global brands, including products from Turkey, Iran, and other countries. This would be particularly beneficial given the large number of international students living nearby.
Additionally, since many students in this area rely on English for their studies and daily communication, having more bilingual employees who speak English fluently would greatly enhance the shopping experience. This would ensure that all customers, regardless of their native language, feel welcome and understood.
