What a peak! And what a view it offers! Reached (I won't say 'easily reached' because it's quite a task to get there) thanks to the cable car which requires multiple changes, the peak's infrastructure has been designed to allow the visitor to take in the amazing views - said infrastructure includes a tunnel, a bridge / walkway, a cable car and the 'Nebelhorn-Gipfelhütte Restaurant' The restaurant offers perhaps one of the most beautiful and dramatic vistas of any restaurant on the planet. A really welcomed experience / service / place to sit, thaw out and take in the beauty of the Bavarian alps, from the Nebelhorn, in comfort. Much cheaper than I was expecting also. Very beautiful views. Mountains all around, snowy peaks in the distance. Green valleys below. The cable car has two platforms where you can go out and walk. There is a small lake with clear blue water. Lots of restaurants. However, there are a lot of people on weekends, which creates some inconvenience. But at the top and on the middle platform there is a place for paragliders, you can enjoy the view of the start from the mountain. Very interesting. The price is 49 euros for the entire cable car. I went on the cable car from the Nebelhorn station to the gipfel top. Saying it was amazing wouldn’t do justice to it. The view is wonderful and even though the place is a little crowded, just walking a few minutes away into the mountains definitely makes it better. The alpine view is just something to see at least once in a lifetime. Since I went on summer I would definitely like to see them again in winter. The restaurant at the top is ok, the food is ok and the beer is good, and the prices are algo ok. The round trip from the bottom to the top was 35 euros, which seems a fair price to me.
