Stayed here during a 1 night and had dinner at the hotel. As I arrived late and left early, the views over the wine yard I as unable to experience. Al has a real good "wine yard" feeling and exposure. The hotel is located at the end of a road and only in the morning I found out they have a parking lot opposite to the hotel (I parked on the road side).||Rooms are OK, maybe one could consider "out dated" however fitting the atmosphere and certainly clean. Breakfast only from 7.30 which can be too late for business and the breakfast is also quite simple. Nothing special to expect.||Yes, they also have a wine shop! Very nice and you would love to buy a bottle...

We stayed here for four days in March 2015, overall experience was amazing. The room was clean and had the most amazing views over the Rhein and vineyards. ||We had a great room with four poster bed with large bathroom, with large veranda. ||The hotel was on a hill so walking back after a days sightseeing was difficult so a taxi is a must. The breakfast was continental but was enough to set you up for the day.||The restaurant was only open Wednesday to Sunday in off season but the food was excellent. The staff were very attentive and didn't speak much english but we enjoyed learning some German. Overall one off the best hotels and restaurants...

This is a wonderful place to be. Lovely vineyards and a great place to stay. Unfortunately, we were there on a Monday and Tuesday, so the kitchen and the wine tasting were closed (specifically on those days), but they have fridges in the communal areas where you can buy a bottle and try the wine yourself. Very easy and relaxed. Getting to the b&b is a bit difficult, but the views are great and the stay is comfortable and nice.

Tolle und ruhige Lage inmitten der Weinberge, gemütliche Zimmer mit Balkon und einem grandiosen Ausblick ins Rheintal, einladende und eher bäuerlich-zünftige Gaststube mit Flair, fantastische Weine (wunderbar spritziger und runder Riesling aus unterschiedlichen Lagen und Jahren) und ein gutes Essen! Haben im Magdalenenhof auf Empfehlung der Benediktinerinnen von St. Hildegard mit 14 Personen ein Familienwochenende verbracht und wurden sehr zuvorkommend, freundlich und sehr herzlich bedient und umsorgt. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und es wurde schnell nachgelegt, wenn etwas zur Neige ging. An zwei Abenden haben wir in großer Runde mit Vor-, Haupt- und Nachspeise gegessen und wir waren sehr angetan. Besonders das super zarte und leckere Steak war der Hammer. Die Weinbergschnecken schmackhaft, die Maultaschen wie hausgemacht, die Schnitzel üppig und gut, die Suppen frisch und die Desserts lecker. Der Service war zügig und extrem freundlich. Wir fühlten uns rundum wohl und haben direkt für das nächste Jahr wieder für 14 Personen vorreserviert!

Aber mit dem (nach zwei Stunden) kommenden Hauptgang kam die Ernüchterung. Pilzrahmschnitzel noch ganz gut (Pommes lediglich etwas arg salzig). Ein anderes Schnitzel aber merkwürdige Konsistenz, aber noch im Rahmen. Ich hatte allerdings den "Flammkuchen" Caprese, unter dem ich mir etwas völlig anderes (einen Flammkuchen eben) vorgestellt hatte. Der Teig ist unter anderem mit Hefe (selbst)gemacht und daher sehr ungewohnt. Dann noch die Form einer Pizza und leider absolut gar nicht mein Geschmack (niemand am Tisch konnte ihn essen). War dann aber wohl einfach die falsche Erwartung. Zum Schluss noch die Gemüse Maultaschen, die leider durch den Einsatz von übertrieben viel Salz gänzlich ungenießbar waren. Ich gebe trotzdem vier Sterne, da unsere Kritik durchaus angenommen wurde und die bemängelten Gerichte ungefragt von der Rechnung gestrichen wurden.
