Bei unserem Besuch am 25.6.24 fanden wir eine umfangreiche und vielfältige Sammlung historischer Objekte zum Thema "optische Industrie in Rathenow" vor - alles in allem hochinteressant! Aber: Es war das erste Museum für uns, dessen Vorhandensein weder vor noch im Gebäude erkennbar wurde! Bitte ins Dachgeschoß fahren. Viele Objekte sind von wunderbarer technischer Ästhetik, aber für den Laien wird sich der Sinn oft nicht erschließen. Wie ein so scheinbar simples Objekt wie eine Sammellinse gefertigt wird und welch enorme Präzision dabei erreichbar ist - keine Aussage u.s.w.. Wahrscheinlich gibt es einen roten Faden, für Normalbegabte ist er aber...

It is worth 3€, there is album full of old photos of Rathenow, there are lazer experiments and microscope. Even though it is not big, if you have 1 hour definitely recommend it. Bonus the employees are...

Kedeligt museum og hurtigt overstået - regn med 20 minutter for 4 Euro. Ikke en børneattraktion.

Ærgerligt, for optikken har en interessant historie bag sig. Formentlig mangler der penge til at gøre det bedre, desværre, for Rathenow har i den grad brug for et løft. Det koster ekstra at tage fotos, og da kun til privatbrug? Så svært at fortælle hele historien.

Knapt et besøg værd, og selv bygningen er stor er selve udstillingen gemt under loftet....
