Passez votre chemin! Warning : There are informers on Reichenau Island. They are paid by the Rathaus (townhall ) to target foreign tourists' cars. If you are a foreigner and something is not totally "in Ordnung" with your parking meter ticket or anything with your car is not "in Ordnung" one of the 4 informers (yes there are 4 on the island !) calls a towing company (always the same) that comes and takes your car directly to Constance, to a place that is not an official pound. You'll get no warning, no police reports, no official document, nothing, and there are not even warning signs on the parking lots. You'll have to pay 350 € (in cash of course !) to pick up your car. If you protest, the boss of this sketchy place will tell you (in German) : "No money, no car !". You have to know that the mayor of Reichenau and one of his assistants fully accept that they are at the head of this lucrative business. Lucrative for them personally too maybe ?
Anyway there is not much to see on this island. Only fields of vegetables. The few pretty churches are closed most of the time and you can't visit them. Nothing really interesting to do. A rather boring...
