Embros Thermae — Local services in Municipality of Kos

A highlight on our holiday. Make sure to be there early. We arrived around 7.30 in the morning (mid September) and although we were not the first, it was still really peaceful and quiet. You can sit near the rocks, where cold water flows in the hot, hot pool. Just breath, relax and look at the goats on the rocks and beach. The were not interested in our bags by the way. Abbiamo raggiunto queste "terme" utilizzando un quad durante la visita dell'isola. Per arrivarci si affronta una lunga discesa sterrata, i mezzi li abbiamo lasciati nel parcheggio sulla scogliera. Le Terme di Kos, sono una piscina naturale di acqua di mare calda, profonda appena un metro e venti e delimitata da un anello di rocce. Le sorgenti calde dalle proprietà terapeutiche fuoriescono da fessure nella roccia alla base della scogliera e si mescolano all’acqua del mare, raggiungendo una temperatura media di circa 35 gradi. Anche in piena estate, nonostante l’alta temperatura dell’acqua che non offre alcun refrigerio, la spa naturale è una delle principali attrazioni turistiche di Kos. Non immaginatevi nulla di spettacolare dal punto di vista architettonico, ma la natura del luogo rende tutto molto bello C'è da fare la fila per immergersi nella piscinetta naturale perché in alcuni periodi dell'anno è davvero molto...

Also als erstes muss ich den Weg erwähnen! Der Weg ist für ältere sehr schwer zu begehen da es rellativ steil Berg ab geht und der Weg muss natürlich auch wieder hoch gegangen werden das heisst für mich, Menschen mit handycap werden es nicht schaffen dort hin zu kommen. Desweiteren muss erwähnt werden das es ein wieder lichter steinstrand ist. Zudem kommt das man schnell glaubt das es eine schönes grosses termalbecken ist wo ich jetzt jeden enttäuschen muss, es ist ein ca 10qm kleines Becken wo man sich mit all den anderen Schulter an Schulter beschmusen kann/muss. Vor Ort hat man die Möglichkeit sich entweder einen Platz auf dem 5bis max 10m breiten steinstrand hin zu legen oder man nimmt die kostenpflichtigen liegen.

Die kleine Taverne oben kann man nicht übersehen da man echt pinnetrant angesprochen wird im Sinne essen trinken.
